Marquez has been born and breed to be a boxer. Being a champion is in his blood. His brother Rafael Márquez was a former world champion at the Bantamweight, and Super bantamweight division. Dinamita starts boxing at very young age and become a professional boxing at the tender age of 19. Mayweather vs. Marquez: When The Number One Meet the Numero Uno

What happen if the “Number One” meets the “Numero Uno” in the boxing ring? I am imagining a scene from a Playstation 3 game Fight Night Round 3, a hard-pack action of flying fist with powerhouse strength. When the Number One faces the Numero uno, only best boxing action is expected as the two of best fighter in the world today face each other in the middle of the roped canvas.

Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr., the Number One in Welterweight Divison. He is undefeated with record of 39 wins 25 of which is on way of knock-out, 0 draw, and 0 losses. Floyd is a six-time world champion in five weight divisions before his so-called “retirement”. Before Pacquiao beat Hatton, Mayweather was universally considered as the best pound for pound fighter in the world. He is indeed the Number One.

Juan Manuel “Dinamita” Marquez, the Numero Uno in Lightweight Division. He has a very impressive record of 50 wins 37 of which is on way of knockout, 4 losses, and 1 draw. Dinamita is a five-time world champion in three divisions, a Numero Uno on his own right.

According to Marquez "To be considered the best in the world, you have to fight the best, and I have made it clear even when Mayweather was away from the sport that he was the only man I really wanted to fight. I'm happy that he's come out of retirement and accepted my challenge. Unfortunately for him he might be sorry he came back at all."

Mayweather vs. Marquez fight has the potential to be one of boxing's all-time great fights. Only the best performance will be expected from the boxers destined for the Hall of Fame. Mayweather and Marquez are two of the greatest technicians in this era of boxing. Mayweather's return to the ring in a quest to reclaim his pound-for-pound title and Marquez will go in the ring to prove his supremacy and add conquest to his amazing legacy. Mayweather vs. Marquez will be one true mega-fight which will determine who is the premier boxer of this era. The supremacy on the boxing field will be determined after the bell rings on July 18th.

Who will be declared as the ultimate and the supreme? Is it the Number One or the Numero Uno?

Mayweather vs. Marquez: NUMBER ONE/NUMERO UNO

The 2009 is undoubtedly a one great year for boxing, major fight after the major fight. This year seems to be the modern renaissance of boxing, the golden era of boxing once again. Right after the sensationalized but very short fight between Pacquiao and Hatton, Mayweather vs. Marquez is lining up in the queue to liven the boxing ring. This time it would be “Money” vs “Dinamita”.

Just few hours before the much awaited Pacquiao-Hatton fight last May 2, Floyd Mayweather Jr. announces his “retirement from retirement” an a theather at MGM Grand Hotel. After 11 months of retirement Floyd Mayweather Jr. un-retire himself to face the Juan Manuel Marquez this coming July 18. When Mayweather announces his retirement, with unblemished record, he was generally regarded as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world; however the title is now bestowed to Manny Pacquiao after beating Ricky Hatton. According to the words of Mayweather, “I left on top, and I came back on top. I'm here to fight and reclaim what's mine.” When he was asked about fighting with best contenders like Pacquiao, Cotto, Marquez and Mosley, Mayweather said ““Line ‘em up and I’ll knock ‘em down,” very strong words but he have to do Juan Manuel Marquez first.

Juan Manuel "Dinamita" Marquez has a record of 50 wins, 4 losses and 1 draw while Floyd "Money" Mayweather, Jr. has a perfect record of 39 wins with no loss. Juan Manuel Manuel had 1 draw and 1 loss (in a split decision) against Pacquiao, Mayweather beat Hatton in 10 rounds while Pacquiao beat Hatton in just 2 rounds. If Marquez got a draw with Pacquiao who flattened Hatton in a mere 2 rounds, in which Mayweather take a long 10 rounds to beat, the Mayweather-Marquez fight will be one of the most interesting match up.

Mark your calendars July 18, 2009 would be the date wherein powerhouse punches will once again flew in flurry as the two of best boxer in the world will battle in yet another boxing supremacy.
